The three stooges

One of the best things about our neighborhood is the sheer abundance of kids Elisa's age. We have been playing and parenting alongside some wonderful families for nearly 4 years now.  And each summer it feels like life leaps ahead and I'm left amazed by how much more meaningful these little friendships are becoming. This year Elisa had her first taste of preschool and in it her first real formation of some strong bonds.  Her friends Myla and Leonardo are the two kids she seems to enjoy the most and from the looks of it, they couldn't be a better trio.  I found them painting and slinging mud at the park the other day and had to capture this for posterity.  Such mess makers.  Sometimes I think they are so well aligned it's hard not to enjoy their particular brand of crazy.
Next year will see them go their separate ways schoolwise, but that's okay. Something tells me they will only want to play more together when they are at the park.  Yes, these three little stooges might be hard to deal with one-on-one, but together they are pretty invincible.  And cute. Did I mention cute?
