February Fun

Who says winter is all dreary gray skies and cold temps? Not us. I've been enjoying a few new eating spots like the amazing Ovenly in Brooklyn where I had a potpourri of their best breakfast treats over a perfect catch up with a friend and our latest addition to Sunnyside the pizzeria Sotto Le Stelle which the girls are really loving. And of course there was the wonderful restaurant week lunch at Nobu with some of the ladies. Yes, it's been a good winter for eating. Then we ended January with a publishing party for Carolina's class which featured her group's Underwater School.  It was such a cute idea and they each got to talk about why they chose that particular school type. We even managed to spend an afternoon at Sunnyside Gardens Park since the milder temps made it feel more like early spring. All this fun meant it was just about time for a sick day and the girls took turns falling ill until I realized--DUH--it must be strep. And it was. Times two. So we got that under control and then boom! It was February.  The new month kicked off with a party for Valentina's birthday, a boozy Avon cocktail party hosted by Chad and Mindy, and a sleepover with Birdie. So many ways to socialize and have fun when it's cold outside. Yeah, winter ain't so bad...
